MENTOR is recruiting for a Programme Manager to cover maternity leave for six months, with a possible extension. This exciting role will lead the Middle East healthcare, disease prevention, WASH and NTD programme supported by a strong in-country team and UK-based HQ team.
Requirements for the role
- Background in public health or a related field. Post graduate qualification in public health, epidemiology or control of infectious diseases highly desirable. Experience of working in the Middle East and an understanding of the context is preferable.
- Extensive experience managing health/humanitarian programmes and experience with donors.
- Familiarity with NGO working environments and standard procedures.
- Highly organised with good coordination / project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is preferable.
